All Business Life.

So I've been hanging out with the crew and we've all been doing a lot of work on our cars. Stephen Finally figured out why his check engine light was on it was a manifold gasket that needed to be swapped out for the correct one. and I finally put on those inner/outer tie rods on my car and got an alignment.

So I love drifting. Last week when i got paid I decided it was about time to put a welded diff in my car. So i picked up Alan's spare diff for about $40. Me and Garrett took it apart and got it welded witch cost $20 then we put it all back together. Upon jacking up my car and putting it on jack stands we ran into some problems. The Diff I purchased from Alan and got welded was an s13 diff and I obviously drive an s14. there were some minor differences that I could have worked around, but I'd rather run the differential carrier that is specific to my car. *sigh* Soon though! My dif will be welded and I will start hitting up some drift events. and you will hear about it first.

On a side note we made some rad new stickers:

Yeah pretty rad stuff!

Upadte: My personal car.

So, I'm not sure if you guys know much about me, so this is more of a persomnal post... About my car lol.
I am the owner of a beautiful '95 Nissan 240sx.
I got this car from a friend of a friend after my Miata got rear ended. I had been looking for a 240sx while I had the Miata, so I decided to go with a 240sx as my next car.

As beautiful as the car looks it didn't come without its issues. Those of you who have owned 240sx's know of a lot of the common issues wiht 15-20 year old cars. I started off with a basic tune up, proceed to swapping out the transmission and clutch because the gears were grinding and hey, tranny's off might as well swap in a new clutch. Next I had to fix the oil leaks. I really had no idea what was goign on, so I took my car to my friend's dad's shop. He told me my oil pressure sensor was leaking. I replaced it but the leaks still continued. I took my car back to him to see if he could find anything else and he told me that the front crank seal is probably the problem. After I got that replaced, there were no more oil leaks.

The next issue I had with the 240 was the hood. The hood wouldn't close because of some previous front-end damage. I decided hood pins would be a good temporary fix. Luckily a friend of mine had some Aerocatch hood pins and I bought those form him and installed them.

Other miscellaneous mods I have done to my car is changing the steering wheel to a NRG steering wheel using a Momo hub. And a Sparco racing seat.

Currently I am replacing front-end  parts that are worn out. I purchased new front ball joints, inner and outer tie rod ends, boots for the rack and pinion and tension rods. I also purchased front lower controol arm bushings, and steering rack bushings. I've been meaning to install those, but Southern-California has been hit with a major rain storm the past few days, plus its the holdidays so I've been busy. Hopefuly by next week I'll have the majority of the parts I listed installed.

Next I plan on installing a new power steering pump and new hoses, clutch master cylinder, and new wheels and tires. Like most sunroofs on 240sx's mine is leaky, I'm trying to devise a plan to remove the sunroof and cover the hole with sheet-metal, or something. Somehwere along the way I plan on welding my diff and going out to some events. Like all my cars its an ongoign project. I'll keep you guys posted.

Update: Moe's E46

During the summer I posted a picture of my friend Moses' E46 in a post called M.I.A.

Since then he has made some updates to the styling of the car. He sent me this picture, and as far as I can see, he swapped out his stock front bumper for an M3 front bumper, added angel eyes and threw on  some new wheels.
Photo shoot and full write up coming soon!

LA Autoshow 2010

So I decided to go down to the La Autoshow. I hadn't been in a few years, and its nice to go see cars up close and sit in them and what not. First up is Mazda, Love me some Mazdas.

Pictures are the RX-8, Shinari concept and race versions of the Mx-5 and Mazdaspeed 3, respectively. Honestly I was surprised to see the RX-8 there, because I heard they were bringing the RX-7 back because of how unpopular the RX-8 was.
Next up is Scion. Scion had all their models out in OEM and modified form. They even had the New iQ on display. Surprisingly it seated four (or three if I were to drive it) and had a fair amount of leg room in the front. Pictured is the 2011 TC in OEM form, then a modified version.

On the EVO / STI end of things Mitsubishi showcased a new version of the EVO MR that will feature a sunroof and leather seats. I'm not a fan. I am a fan of the new STI sedan. This particular one was slightly modified  and lapped the Nurburgring in some ridiculously fast time.
For those of you who like American cars... Here's Bumblebee.
HOndas attempt to make the CR-Z Sporty. I guess... But they should just bring back the CRX and Put a K20 in it.
VIP anyone? LS460 I believe. Slammed, big wheels, yum! and since we're on the subject of Lexus.

The LFA was on display. Look at those brakes! Massive!

Didn't get any specs on this 6-series coupe. But its a BMW, so I'm guessing-its fast and handles well. And for those of you who prefer the Mercs.

There ya go.

The Autoshow was an awesome experience. getting to sit in and see cars up close. These were just some of the cars that caught my eye. Hope you enjoyed.

Jake's STI

So, last year I went to a few Autocross events with this guy. I have a class with him and I started talking to him about his STI. He told me he was getting Coilovers and wheels.
I think it turned out pretty well. Hopefully the full story soon. This is just a crappy cellphone pic.
