Put the P In the V

This 240sx belongs to a friend of mine, Jay Jay. Jay Jay is no stranger to 240's and has owned several in the past. But this is the car that he owned(and currently owns) when I met him.

This singe cam 240 used to be outfitted with a turbo kit that included various goodies like  a CXRacing front mount, t3/t4 turbo, Nismo fuel pressure regulator, HKS super sequential blow-off valve, Tial knockoff waste gate, Walboro 255lph fuel pump, and 460cc RX-7 fuel injectors

I say used to because unfortunately his car was stolen and stripped.
Miraculously, after Jay Jay's car was recovered, he put the stock header back on and it started right up, and ran like a champ.

Felling down about his car being stole and stripped Jay Jay decided to step his game up, his wheel game. He sourced some  18x10.5 -5 offset SSR Viene Kreis wheels and stretched some 225/40/18's on to them. For the rear he got some18x11 -5 offset weds Kranze Eurocourse wheels fitted with some 215/45/18 rubber. It took much rolling and pulling of the fenders to get these wheels to fit under stock metal but I think the results are well worth to work.

Jay Jays 240 is slammed on some Megan street coilovers, has a full energy suspension bushing kit installed as well as  SPL inner/outer tie rods and a custom Rob Sherod power brace.

As amazing as these photo's are I cant take credit for them. These were taken by  Todd Posadas aka snapademics. Checking him out at http://www.snapademics.com/

Lone Pine Time Trials 2010

Every year, there is a Time Trial event held at the old Manzanar airstrip between Lone Pine and Independence. It is about 3 1/2 north of SoCal. I went up with Tarmac Garage and their Nissan Silvia. Had 2 blowouts on 395. First blowout was fun. The second blowout was gay cause we were super tired from the weekend. The heat was KILLER. Overall, a pretty fun trip.

As for Tarmac Garage, they placed first and second in their class. There were 2 drivers, switching back and forth. That Silvia was a BEAST. The night before the event, we went out to the track to mess with the car a little bit. Had it at full boost, 400+ HP, and tore up the 2 rear tires in 30 mins. No traction, whatsoever. The next day, turned it down to around 250HP, and it ran perfect for the track.

Jay Lee's NA Miata.

A few months back, I had the chance to shoot Jay Lee's Na Miata. He took over OG Peter Li's Work Eurolines that sat super pretty. But the wheels are no longer his. He sold them to another fellow Miata driver and is now sporting TR Motorsport wheels for a little while.

The pink zipties definitely added character to the car.

I couldn't help but to drool when taking this shot. Too sexy.

Side shot of this car is too much to handle.

Stance from the rear is just pure sex.

Random: E28 M5

I had no idea E28's could look so fresh. Maybe I should give some attention to the one parked in my driveway.

Dont Fake The Phunk.

Pictured before you is the one and only  Phunk 350z driven by my friend Jackie Sin.

When I first met Jackie we where in high school. We were both young kinds and both excited about drifting. Back then I had my Civic and Jackie had his 86 Corolla. Jackie attended many many drift events including Drift Day and built his 86 quite nicely. But he soon realized that if he wanted to further himself in drifting he woudl need more power. So he did the logical thing. Started drifting his sisters 350z. From what I understand when his sister found out that he was drifting her car she had an artist come up with this livery and became Jackie's main sponsor.

So what exactly is Phunk? Phunk is Jackie's sisters kitchenware company in HongKong. Before this sponsorship this car was already a pretty serious car. It was fully gutted, for weight savings, and lowered on JIC coilovers. Also a Tomei LSD was added to keep the rear locking up hard, and a custom roll cage was installed to add safety and rigidity. There are other parts on the car like a Nardi steering wheel and adjustable suspension arms but I don't have the specifics on those items.

After drifting with the naturally aspirated VQ motor Jackie Still felt like he needed more.  So he had his engine shipped out and totally rebuilt from the ground up with a new twit turbo set up.

Since then Jackie has been trying to drift the Z as much as possible. He is totally committed to drifting and wants to be able to compete in Formula D one day.
